Sylvie D’Amours has a master’s in taxation and began her career in Rimouski as a tax specialist at a major accounting firm, where she worked from 1997 to 2000. Following that, she worked for 17 years as a notary at a law office that she eventually came to own in her hometown of Trios-Pistoles.
