University of Ottawa graduate Sandra Ethier has been practicing law since 1998. She practices mainly in litigation involving civil law, construction law, property law, inheritance law, civil liability, and latent defects.

She began her career at Gagnon & Associés and then formed her own law firm, Larouche. Ethier Avocats, with Francine Larouche. The firm was subsequently dissolved after Ms. Ethier joined Cain Lamarre as partner.

Over the past few years, she has developed specialized expertise in latent defects and inheritance, making a name for herself in this field of law in which she excels.
Her focus on finding the best solution for her clients leads her to explore all forms of dispute resolution, including settlement conferences, negotiation, and representation in court.
Her thoroughness and professionalism have earned her high praise from clients and respect from her colleagues and the judiciary.

Ms. Ethier has been very involved in the community, serving on the board of directors of organizations such as Maison de la famille and Corporation des Fêtes pour tout le monde, and has been vice chair of the board of directors of Maison l’Envol de Rouyn-Noranda for over 10 years.

Since 2008, she has been the corresponding syndic for the Québec Bar in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.

She is also currently chief legal counsel of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Bar as well as the honorary co-chair of the organizing committee with Bernard Barrette for the 2019 AAP Conference to be held in Rouyn-Noranda.
