Robert Pépin has 36 years’ experience as an attorney, manager, and professor in municipal law, employment law, and occupational health and safety law. In his capacity as lawyer, head of the legal department, and director of legal affairs of one of Québec’s largest cities, he acquired a thorough understanding of the inner workings of his city’s municipal government, and became a valued counsel in the municipal decision-making process. He has also represented municipalities in a number of complex cases before all the Québec courts and various administrative tribunals.

In addition to his duties as an attorney, Robert teaches law at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where for a number of years he has trained aspiring lawyers from various backgrounds in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Côte-Nord regions in labor relations, civil law, and occupational health and safety law. He also gives talks on hot button issues in the field of occupational health and safety.
