Nancy Fillion has been practicing law for over 20 years in her native region of Saguenay. She began her career with the firm’s corporate and commercial law team and expanded into aboriginal law, a field in which she has developed extensive expertise.

She works for commercial businesses, negotiating, drafting, and analyzing contracts and setting up and performing transactions such as buying and selling stocks. She has solid experience in creating limited partnerships, particularly for energy ventures. She guides her business clients through their commercial and corporate development, offering services that meet their needs, whether planning and developing legal instruments, validating those in place, or providing other counsel.

Nancy is also involved in major negotiations with government and works with ease on multidisciplinary teams. She assists Aboriginal communities and individuals with development projects on their land, walking them through the applicable laws, helping with socioeconomic development initiatives, and even securing funding. She also works with non-Aboriginal businesses interested in forming business partnerships with Aboriginal groups. She sits on the boards of directors of a number of community organizations.
