Since joining Cain Lamarre in 2004, Martine Tremblay has gained considerable experience in municipal law and has further honed her skills by collaborating with other professionals on a wide range of legal matters and giving lectures and training sessions for municipal stakeholders.

Known for her expertise in many facets of municipal law—land use and urban planning, calls for tenders, ethics, expropriation, access to information, regulatory power, and other legal aspects of municipal governance—she has developed a remarkable skill set in cases involving Québec’s commission for the protection of agricultural land (CPTAQ) and its access to information commission (CAI). She serves as prosecuting attorney in criminal matters for a number of municipalities and has been a lecturer in the Jonquière CEGEP’s land use and urban planning techniques program.

She has also acquired significant expertise in immigration law over the years in response to the growing need in numerous regions, consulting on cases involving business immigration and providing assistance with various federal and provincial government programs, including: 

  • The Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • The International Mobility Program
  • The Québec Experience Program
  • The Regular Skilled Worker Programs

She also provides a variety of immigration services, including help with applications for temporary residence and work permits, compliance audits, permanent residence, and family sponsorship.
